L'Auberge du Mont is a paradise for nature lovers. Fall, winter, or spring, our beautiful forested setting is the ideal place to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities. You don’t even have to bring your own equipment, we’ll be happy to lend you everything you need !


Winter

At L'Auberge du Mont, choose from a wide array of activities and discover the pleasures of winter, Québec style!  Strap on a pair of snowshoes or cross-country skis and explore our trails, grab an inner tube for some great sliding, or take a twirl on our skating rink.

Spring and Fall

When the trees are budding with signs of spring or blazing with fall colors, our hiking trails beckon you to explore the mountain and forest landscape. Admire magnificent views of the Jacques Cartier valley from one of our lookouts. Borrow our trail interpretation guide to learn more about the natural environment as you explore. And if sports are your thing, gear up for some action in our outdoor sports zone with its soccer field, basketball court, and deck-hockey rink.

Indoor Activities

When the weather is less cooperative, burn off some energy in one of our two gymnasiums with a fast-paced game of volleyball, basketball, badminton, or floor hockey. If you’re in a quieter mood, sit down for a board game or relax by the fireside.

rafting.jpgValcartier Vacation Village (5 minutes) : Open daytime and evenings throughout the winter, this sliding center offers 42 tubing and snow rafting runs complete with music. One and two-night packages are available from Auberge du Mont.


pack-golf_001.jpgClub de Golf Centre Plein Air Castor (10 minutes): Open to the general public, this 6,333 yard course is a great place to enjoy a round or two of your favorite sport in harmony with your natural surroundings. During the winter season, Centre Plein Air Castor also operates an extensive network of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails.


Le Nordique Spa et Détente  NordiqueSpahiver4.jpg (15 minutes): Located on the banks of the Jacques Cartier River and surrounded by mountains, Le Nordique Spa et Détente is a haven of relaxation. Treat yourself to some Scandinavian style pampering as you enjoy the Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath, outdoor whirlpool baths, Nordic baths and massage treatments available at this peaceful riverside oasis.


SkiStoneham.jpgStoneham Mountain Resort (20 minutes) :  A must for skiers and snowboarders, this popular ski area is tucked away in a horseshoe-shaped valley that protects it from the prevailing winds. SMR boasts 39 runs on three mountains with a vertical drop of 420 meters.



Château.jpgOld Québec (30 minutes) : A UNESCO world heritage site, the historic district of Old Québec is the only site of its kind in North America to have conserved its historic ramparts. Explore the old walled city and discover the Château Frontenac, Plains of Abraham, Citadel, National Assembly, Old Port, Musée national des beaux-arts de Québec, and Musée de la Civilisation and numerous other magnificent attractions.
